“There is no crisis in the Sub_Seat. The management of the Sub_Seat has always ensured that structure and appointments were made in accordance with the rules of both the national LOC and FIFA. Functions and responsibilities of all Venue Managers as well as sub committees are well defined and targeted towards achieving set objectives.

“ Lagos has from inception of the Sub_Seats been a reference point because if its dogged commitment and pro_active initiatives towards excellence. Even when there was uncertainty in other designated centres for the championship, Lagos Sub_Seat was far ahead in all ramifications,” Alozie said.

He explained that the leadership of the Sub_Seat has enjoyed the confidence of the Lagos State government because of its proven management ability in ensuring that Lagos did not only win the hosting right but also emerge the best centre at the end of the championship.

“The suggestion that the Sub_Seat is in crisis is but an imagination of those who do not wish the state well. We would not be distracted by such ideas, especially now that we have entered a critical stage of the organisation of the championship which kicks off on October 24.
Alozie assured that Sub_Seat is focused and read to host the world, saying that Lagos is strategic in FIFA’s overall organisation plans for the championship and cannot afford to disappoint the state government.
