A former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, has exonerated himself from the on-going face-off between the Federal Government and ASUU, saying his government was not the architect of the problem and should not be held responsible for the impasse.
He described the person who recently linked his name to the FG/ASUU problem as ignorant of what happened and what is happening
“I am not responsible for what happened in the educational sector, especially as it affect the universities in the country.
On what role the former leaders have been playing to see to the end of the crisis, Babangida said, “we have been talking; we have been giving advice to those concerned but it is not for us to tell you what we have been talking.â€
Speaking further, he said: “what I say now could be misinterpreted again; we will rather give advice through the appropriate quarters.
