Activist asks Sylva to forget N100b bond

By Emma Amaize,Warri
NATIONAL Coordinator of the South- South Elements Progressive Union (SSEPU)  and human rights activist, Mr. Joseph Ambakederemo, has requested Governor Timipre Sylva of Bayelsa State to render account of  the previous loans obtained by his administration before contemplating of shopping for N100 billion from the capital market.

Speaking in an interview with newsmen, he said, ‘‘The Bayelsa state governor must give Bayelsans account of his administration. We in SSEPU say no to the N100b the governor is seeking from the capital market.

He should not go to the capital market until he has given the account of the N130b loan obtained from a new generation bank of which we are paying so much to service.’’

Ambakederemo described the stakeholders’ committee recently put together by the governor as diversionary plan to make the people believe that he wanted their input in the governance of the state, remarking that posterity will not forgive members of the committee if they allowed themselves to be used.
