The Head of Nigeria National Office of the Council, Dr. Iyi Uwadiae made this known during a meeting held recently at the Rockview Hotel, Festac Town, Lagos.
In a key note address entitled “Team Workâ€: An Imperative Tool in Our Quest for Excellence and Value Added Service Delivery,†the Head of Nigeria National Office of the Council, Dr. lyi Uwadiae, during the opening ceremony, called on members of the Committee to see themselves as Team Leaders and to reposition themselves to play their roles effectively.
He called on all the members of the Committee to exercise a high level of integrity in all their dealings, stressing that “he who calls for equity must come with clean hands’â€Dr. Uwadiae congratulated the Committee for the successful conduct of the May/June 2009 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), and stressed that no stone should be left un-turned to ensure the hitch-free conduct of the November/December 2009 diet of the examination.
Dr. Uwadiae also stated that the issue of amendment of errors on data supplied by candidates during registration for examinations should be re-examined by the Committee.
He stated that information pointed to the fact that some candidates deliberately introduce errors in order to come back and ask for amendment to satisfy their fraudulent ends. He noted that with e-registration, candidates were expected to enter their correct data and verify them before uploading.
