Uduaghan’s security aide kidnapped

SAPELE—SUPECTED kidnappers have seized the wife of the Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State governor on Security Matters, Mrs. Mary Diden.

Her husband, Michael Diden, was the former chairman of Warri North local government area, Delta State.
She was kidnapped by a gang of four kidnappers at about 7.00 pm on Tuesday along the Sapele-Warri Road, Sapele and they fled to Ugberikoko waterside from where they whisked her into the creeks in two stand-by speedboats.

The kidnappers, Vanguard learnt, used for the operation two vehicles, a Volkswagen Jetta car, with  registration number,  AR242 AUC , which was later recovered along Sapele-Warri Road,  by Ajogodo junction, and a Mercedes Benz 300E with registration number,  AW 697 USL,  which was also recovered by the police  at Oton village,  Sapele.

Diden specially appealed to the kidnappers yesterday to release his wife, saying she did not commit any offence to warrant her being kidnapped.

The police in Sapele said they were doing everything possible to locate the whereabout of the woman and called on the general public to give useful information to the police to track down the kidnappers.

The kidnappers have not made contact with Diden as at yesterday morning.
