ABUJA – Players of the Super Eagles are looking up to pocketing $10,000 each as new match bonus against Tunisia in the September 6 World Cup qualifier at the Abuja National Stadium.
This new package to encourage the players is a joint effort between the Nigeria Football Federation and the 12_man Presidential Monitoring Committee to ensure the country’s flag is among those to be hoisted in South Africa for the 2010 World cup finals.

Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi believes that with the new package, “the Super Eagles need to put in their best and beat Tunisia.

“We want to take the matches one after the other. After the match against the Tunisians on September 6 in Abuja then we will start talking of the away encounters against Kenya and Namibia. With the players’ bonus now increased to $10,000 each, we believe that they would put in their best. As a matter of fact each of the players was given $10,000 in Tunisia, and the Presidential Committee might still want to increase it in order to further boost the players’ morale.
