ABUJA- The Federal Government is seeking collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) in the area of training and re-training of Nigerian workers to enhance Productivity.
Minister of Labour and Productivity, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode (SAN) who spoke in Abuja Monday while receiving the UNIDO Regional Director in charge of West Africa, Mr. Masayoshi Matsushita.
A statement by the Ministryâ€™s Principal Information Officer, Mr. Aliyu H. Saidu, noted that the Minister emphasised that UNIDO needed to do a lot of partnership with Nigeria, especially in the Labour Sector of the economy andÂ pointed out that Nigeria is a strong member of the Pan-African Productivity Union.
According to the statement, Prince Kayode posited that fifteen members of staff of the National Productivity Centre from Nigeria benefited from a training programme organised by PAN African Productivity Union on the basic needs to enhance productivity.
