APCON house burgled

The Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria house referred to as the APCON  House, located within the National Arts theater premises has been burgled by an unknown persons.

A   statement signed unbehalf of the Registrar/Chief Executive by Joe-Eugene Onuorah, Head, Corporate Affairs of APCON said that on  August 10, 2009 on arrival to office it was discovered that the building has been burgled the previous night.

The statement said that Security guards on duty at the building were overpowered by armed persons numbering about eight who invaded the building about 3:00am, broke the doors into all the offices and ransacked the entire offices apparently in search of cash and valuables.

The statement also said that in the process, table drawers, file cabinets, safes and shelves were damaged, leaving documents and files littered on the floor. As well, Cash and laptops were removed by the robbers.
The statement said the incident has been reported at the Iponri Police Station, in  which officers has been sent to  evaluate the situation and commence investigation into the incident. No arrests have been made so far.
It will be recalled that a similar robbery incident took place in December 2006 when armed robbers invaded the building in a similar fashion and made away with sums of money
