64 babies born during RCCG convention

By Sam Eyoboka

NO fewer than 64 babies were delivered in the first five days of the 57th annual convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, just as the church shops for money to upgrade over stretched facilities in the Redemption Camp.

Making these revelations at the Holy Ghost service on Friday, the general overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, said 33 girls and 31 boys were delivered from Monday when the convention began at 6.10 p.m. on Friday.

Giving his annual report of activities of the church in the last one year before his sermon, the cleric, who was dressed in a green trouser and a white short sleeve shirt with a matching bow tie, said both babies and their mothers were doing well at the camp’s maternity.

According to him, at least 34,000 babies were delivered to members of the church in the last one year, while a total of 4,200 marriages were contracted in the church in the same period.
