Samsung unveils new slim TVs, mobile phones

Apparently trying to   take television viewing to the next level, Samsung Electronics has launched one of the world’s slimmest LED TVs. This is even as it launched three new mobile phones to put variety in the hands of Nigerian mobile phone users.

While the phones, Samsung Jet, Samsung star and Samsung Fizz are said to have all the latest innovations in mobile technology, the slim TVs, according to Samsung, are  expected to revolutionalise the way the world looks at television, as it combines the award winning design with the most advanced technology available in the world today.

Samsung explained that the new product do not require bulky components like cold cathode flourescent lamps even as they produce high image quality sound and resolution with frames that come fully equipped with everything, including a built-in-tuner and power supply.

Unique innovation of these products is that there is a new wall mounting system that allows the TV to be hung just like a picture frame.

Managing director, Samsung Electronics, Mr James You, said the introduction of the new Samsung LED TVs was as a result of Samsung’s commitment to meeting customers needs and providing solutions peculiar to its operating environment.

“Why we have one third of global market share, is because we understand the needs and aspirations of consumers and then develop products and applications that are modern, stylish, state of the art craftsmanship with the latest advanced technology in the world” You said.

According to him, the new products are completely mercury free and do not use harmful spray paint, which reduces the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere. They can also be used to access online content such as Yahoo; Flicker and even You tube, all with the push of a button. They can as well be utilized to share photos and HD videos with the aid of USB 2.0 movie port.

Speaking on the mobile phones, You also said that the introduction of the products was a demonstration of Samsung’s care for her customers needs and aspirations, and a recognition of the need for her to constantly be ahead of competition in terms of service delivery and in the provision of products that combine cutting edge technology with the core value of improving lives of users of her products.
