Ogun AC blasts Daniel over oath taking saga

By Kolade Larewaju
THE Action Congress (AC) in Ogun State Wednesday reacted to the oath taking saga within the state government, saying that it was not surprised as it has always known that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was incapable of offering honest and good governance.

Speaking in a telephone chat, the Secretary of the party, Alhaji Abimbola Awofeso said well-meaning people should tell Governor Olugbenga Daniel not to set the state on fire by his actions and attitude to governance.

He said: “We have always known that the people are fetish, selfish and incapable of offering the people of Ogun, good governance. The Governor is not being fair to the people and well-meaning people should tell him not to set the state on fire.

“They have recklessly spent the people’s money and now looking for a way to get more money through the bond so that more money can be stolen putting the future of the state in jeopardy. No, they will not be allowed to do that.

“Can you imagine, taking oath with one another? And all within themselves without shame. They are so shameless that their irresponsible actions are being published on the pages of a newspaper said to be owned by Governor Daniel.”

Alhaji Awofeso said that attention should not be diverted from the huge debt profile of the state which he said that Governor Daniel has not been able to disclose.

He said: “When our governorship candidate, Otunba Dipo Dina was telling the world that Daniel was mortgaging the state. People did not believe. Now everybody can see that it is true. Ask them to tell the world, how much Ogun State owes.

“Rather than get serious with the issue of governance, they are busy taking blood oath and getting into occultism. The people are tired of them.”
