ETB opens mega branch at Seme border

Equitorial Trust Bank has opend a  mega branch  in Seme border, Badagry to cater for the banking needs of residents and business organizations in the area.

The branch which is strategically located within the Conoil Station along the border axis between Badagry and Coutonu is expected to boost trade and commerce in the area as Bureau de Change operators, Clearing Agents and Oil and Gas operators are already taking the advantage of the expertise of the bank to boost their business.

In the last one month of its operations before the formal opening recently the bank has already positioned itself as a major player in the retail banking and trade services business as over N500 million worth of liability and assets products in oil and gas transactions and import finance related business have been consummated.

Barely one month after its opening, the branch has continued to enjoy outstanding patronage as a visit to the branch reveals the heavy human traffic comprising of customers whose profile cut across all business segments in the area.

Already, the operators in the Clearing business are also benefiting from the well packaged credit products especially the Temporary Overdraft which gives them the opportunity to get Temporary overdraft from the bank to finance their business up to the point of delivery to their customers at minimal interest rate.

The Bank’s General Manager, Operations, Mr. Kayode Awokoya explained that the idea of a rapid branch expansion is to deploy the services of the bank to all parts of the country and leverage on this to successfully increase its share of the retail end of the market. He said: “We have brought to Badagry, our efficient and tested customer delivery channels which have endeared ETB to the banking community nationwide. In sustenance of this profile, we have embarked on continuous branch expansion that guarantees more outlets for our partners. The intention of the Bank, according to Mr. Awokoya, is to have in place by the end of this year 200 functional branches evenly spread across the country to adequately reach our customers. We subscribe to efficient and effective outlets that provide total banking services that is very close to the business locations of our customers.”

The Bank has also commenced a rapid deployment of ATMs in all its branches and Conoil Mega Stations nationwide to ensure that customers are served 24/7. He explained that just like other branches, the opening of the branch was based strictly on perceived customer-centric demands and financial aspirations of our numerous clients and prospects in Badagry and its environs.
