Egrangbene kingship: Group hails Uduaghan’s decision

The Egrangbene Patriotic Forum has described Delta State government as the symbol of peace and Rule of Law in Nigeria.

In a statement signed by Mr Biukeme Benibo on behalf the group, the Egrangbene people stated that the decision of the state at its last security meeting to place a ban on an illegal, unpopular “king” from parading himself as Pere of Egrangbene community has saved the community from bloodbath and chaos adding that the move by a few lawless elements in the community, allegedly sponsored by a businessman based in Warri to expand his oil business and other interests, was rejected by larger Egrang-bene community.

It stated that the state government, in its wisdom, has confirmed the earlier decision of the community.

“The good people of Egrangbene wish to salute the peace loving governor of Delta State, his deputy and the state security council as well as the rightful and authentic Pere of Operemor Kingdom, HRH Pere Samuel Evah and chairman Federated Egragbene communities who worked tirelessly to save the destruction of our commu-nity by greedy and selfish men and their cohorts.”

The group insisted that Egranbene people are proud to belong to Oporemor Kingdom where the present king is their son, adding that “those who want to reduce Egrangbene integrity by basterdizing Egrangbene history claiming that Egrangbene people come from a village in a neigbouring local government which water mass and land mass is not up to 25% of Egrangbene should bury their heads in shame”, the statement added.
