She pointed out that Penawou’s gestures will further “assuage the sufferings of Gbaramatu communities in the wake of the war in the creeks. This is indeed a commendable feat by Chief Joseph Penawou by making life once more meaningful to the natives of Gbaramatu communities.â€

The people need rehabilitation. I also wish to appeal to the Delta state Rehabilitation and Relief Committee to make optimum use of the relief materials donated by Penawou to the communities by ensuring that the grassroots people have access to them.
The governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, should be commended for promptly setting up the Delta State Rehabilitation and Relief Committee to address the plight of the displaced.
Moreover the Chartered Accountant who also lauded him for sponsoring the swimming competition which was recently organised by the Delta Sports Commission, said “again Chief Tubodei Penawou must be commended for bankrolling the recent Delta state swimming competition organised by Delta State Sports Commission held in Obiaruku.
