NGO urges FG to partner Oba Group on power supply

UGHELLI—AS part of its measures to compliment the Federal Government’s efforts to achieve the proposed 6000MW by December this year, a non governmental organization known as Initiative for Better Power Supply (IBPS) has called on the Federal Government to parley with Mr. Fredrick Emiaha, Chairman/Managing Director, Oba Group Power Plant Innovation.

Speaking during a courtesy call of the group to Mr. Fredrick in Udu, Don Emmanuel Onose, national coordinator, IBPS, said, their aim of visiting was that they heard he invented an off grid hydro generating plant and that it was already in use.

He solicited the partnership of Mr. Emiaha with the group to compliment effort of the federal government in achieving the proposed 6000MW by December this year.

In his response, Mr. Fredrick Emehia said he was ready to partner with IBPS to compliment federal government’s effort in achieving the 6000MW before December this year.

He explained that the generating plants he invented works without oil, petrol, diesel and have no exhaust, emission and pollution, adding that they are sound proof, portable and environmental friendly.
