A customer of Ecobank,Â Rasheed Olanrewaju Adekanbi has been announced winner of a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in the bankâ€™s Detail Update Promo.
Lanre, who is currently a driver with 21st Century Technology, was selected from among customers of the bank for his prompt response and accurately update of his personal details with the bank. When information got to him, Olanrewaju, who was visibly elated, confessed not to have received any such reward in the past, more so for the simple act of filling accurate information that concerns him.
When asked of how he got to know of the Ecobank Detail Update Promo, he narrated it all started with an encounter with a staff of Ecobank during a market storm when he was asked to filled a one-page information about his personality in what the bank described as details update promotion for customers in order to serve them better.The reward for this data update is the award of a Tucson jeep after a raffle draw which held recently in Ibadan city, he said.
He revealed that he has two accounts with Ecobank, one for him and the other for his three year old son and he has consistently obeyed the instructions of the bank as a customer based on the advice of his pastor to follow instructions every time he hears one.
Lanre recalled that he opened his account in 2008 with two thousand naira and two passport size photographs and since then he has been keeping his money with the bank, which is now rewarding him. The reward he realized is not for the amount of money he has but because he has accurate information with the bank.
Lanre, a trained welder started out in life after finishing from Onipetesi high school in 1993 and then joined Nigeria Package Company in Ilupeju but was retrenched with other workers in 1995 with a severance package ofÂ four thousand naira. According to him â€œI love driving and I always admire my father when I see him drive, so I decided to pay three thousand naira for driving lessons and one thousand Naira for the driverâ€™s license since I was leaving with my parents at that time.â€™
In her remark Ecobank Country Head, Retail Banking Group, Mrs. Joke Giwa said Lanre is not the only one winning from Ecobank as several other customers had taken away consolation prizes for updated their details with the bank.
She reiterated that the bank is committed to improving the service experience of its customers and all the Bank is asking from customers is to simply complete the information requested on the one page paper accurately for the purpose of enjoying better service especially e-banking products that are available; and the bank will reward them for that simple obedience with instant gift and a raffle draw to win another star prize the bank is keeping as a secret by December 2009.
