As unemployment rateÂ Â Â in Nigeria continues to assume an alarming proportion, succor came the way of the unemployed people last week as GIFIC, an indigenous print solution giant and market leader in the heat transfer business organised an empowerment workshop to empower Nigerians on how to become successful enterpreneurs.
The workshop, was primarily aimed at creating awareness about some hidden opportunities in the printing industry which anybody could tap on and become a successful and fulfilled business man.
The managing Director, GIFIC solutions limited, Mrs. Ngozi Ukachukwu said the company deemed it necessary to organise the workshop to alleviate the sufferings of millions of unemployed Nigerians by empowering them with entrepreneurial skills in heat transfer business to enable them become self reliant and successful business owners.
According to Ukachukwu, the primary targets of the workshop was the working class who plan to retire soon, while the secondary targets are students and unemployed youths who could become financially empowered by availing themselves the rare opportunity in heat transfer business.
This she said, would definitely reduce crime and unemployment rate in the country, as it wasÂ also expected to encourage entrepreneurship among Nigerians and provide them with the basic information and communication technology skills necessary for establishing business they can call their own.
She said , â€œwe want to empower the youth. We want to empower people who donâ€™t have work, so that they can be independent financially by starting up a business of this kind with minimal capital that will cost them less time and energy.â€
â€œWe want to create awareness about something people can look into, so that they can establish and empower themselves for the rest of their lives.â€
Ukachukwu alsoÂ noted that the workshop will boost skills and participation in the heat transfer and other non-capital intensive business that will help the attendees get returns for their investment.
While assuring on the quality and durability of GIFIC machines, the GIFIC boss called on government and corporate organizations in Nigeria to see the heat transfer business as a veritable means of alleviating poverty and job creation by partnering with the company
as the sole dealer of the equipments in Africa byÂ making the machines affordable and available to those that need them..
Heat transfer print is an avenue to print in full vibrant colours unto a variety of surface. It involves printing out something from your computer and putting it the way you want it on any item without making ink. It is a simplest way of putting pictures or images on any items and could be promotional for corporate bodies, ceremonies and for individuals.
The workshop with the theme,â€ Retire in Styleâ€ paraded the latest technology heat transfer and print equipments with some business advisors who were on hand to put participants through on how to start their own business. Some of the equipments at display were available for purchase at a very high discount rate. They include: Snap lab;Â Mega Combo; Plotter Cutter Flat Press; Combo Press; Photo Creation; Plate press and Cap press among other consumables.
Meanwhile, a cross section of the participants who spoke with Vanguard at the end of the programme expressed satisfaction and commended the organisers for putting up the event at a time it was mostly needed.
