Aliero increases land charges in FCT

ABUJA — MINISTER of the Federal Capital Territory Administration(FCTA), Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero said yesterday that the administration has concluded arrangements to increase all levies and charges payable for land acquisition and processing in the nation’s capital, Abuja.

The Minister, who noted that it was part of moves to raise the revenue profile of the administration, stressed that a four-man committee has been constituted saddled with among others, the responsibility of reviewing all the land charges and fees in the Federal Capital Territory.

Addressing Journalists in Abuja yesterday on the outcome of the FCTA’s Executive Meeting, the Special Assistant to the Minister on Media and Public Affairs, Abdullahi Zuru explained that the committee which has the Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on Legal Matters, Mr Sam Kagbu as the Chairman, is expected to compliment the activities of the Committee earlier set up by Aliero on revenue generation for the FCT.
