2010: Emodi pledges equity

By Vincent Ujumadu

AWKA—ANAMBRA State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Uchenna Emodi has promised that his executive would be fair to all the governorship aspirants on the platform of the party, in line with the political philosophy of the state leader of the party, Chief Chris Uba.

Addressing PDP supporters at Anaocha and Idemili South Local Government Areas of the state during his sensitization tour of the state, Emodi assured the people that he would follow due process and rule of law in piloting the affairs of the party, adding that PDP can not afford to make any mistake at this crucial period, when the governorship election was around the corner.

According to him, all the ward chairmen have been mandated to start the process of mobilising the electorate in readiness for the tour of the 21 Local Government Areas of the state, which would be led by Uba, who is also a member of the party’s Board of Trustees (PDP), next month.

“We have suffered enough and this is the time for us to reap our benefits. And the best way to reap it is when we enter the Government House. That is why everybody must work hard to ensure the success of the party in the forthcoming governorship election. The main assignment for the 326 ward chairmen therefore is to start marketing the party to the electorate,” Emodi said.
