Head and Spiritual Leader of INRI Evangelical and Spiritual Church, Oke Afa, Isolo, Lagos, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, is prominent  among members of the Lord’s Vineyard who have predicted positively for the love of country and the world in general.

The just concluded American presidential election has lent  credence to the accuracy of his predictions.

‘Republican will take over from Obama’

Ayodele said point blank ahead of the poll, “Republican Party nominee  will take over from Obama as the President of America in the coming general election.” (Sunday Sun December 28, 2014, page 38).

The Primate  was also published in the same paper to have said: “A coup is coming in one of the African countries.   There will be crises in Togo, Gabon and South Africa.” He added  on the Nigerian economy: “Nigerians should expect increase in the price of petroleum products in 2015.   Price of aviation fuel will be increased and this will make air transport fare to go up….We need to pray to avert  a  ship wreck.”

In  The  DEFENDER, an online media, he was published on October 11, 2016 to have also spoken on the American election.   He said Hillary “will face some challenges to get there and, if Donald Trump eventually wins her, it is going to be a problem to the whole world.”

Vanguard also reported some aspects of these predictions

‘Real reason Nigeria faces challenges’, other predictions

Recall that in the Sunday Vanguard of October 23, Ayodele had spoken about the state of the nation and said Nigeria would not know peace until it had  prayed hard to remove the curse placed on the country by the gruesome murder of Nigeria’s first and only Prime Minister, Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa Balewa.

Ayodele is one prophet who would prophesy and  round it  off by saying: “I am so much pained when my negative prophecies  come to pass  due to the nonchalant attitude of the people concerned.”

He, however, has tried, as a  man of God,  to organise  prayer conferences so that negative prophecies might not come to pass  in Nigeria and   other countries or personalities  that he claimed to have been sent to.

Ayodele, known for distinctively spelling himself out from being a pastor adding that prophets are different from pastors  as, according to the Ikere, Ekiti State-born man of God, prophets are the only ones that God truly speak to and who sees things that pastors don’t see, had prophesied  many things in the past which came to pass.

The prophet,   as far back as 2013, had recorded in his annual Warnings to the Nations (WTN), predicted that General Muhammadu Buhari would   defeat Dr. Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 presidential election and  asked  Jonathan not to contest the poll. That was before  Father Mbaka December 2014 prophesied in the same direction.     That came to pass. In one of his recent statements, he warned that prayers should be held for God to help  Buhari steer the ship of the country. He pleaded that Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu must not fight as, according to him, such fight by the duo of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would lead to the break-up of the party in a way that would see some members of the APC pulling out to join a group from People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to form a new party.   He warned  that Tinubu particularly should not allow it to happen even as he said the idea of CPC, Congress for Progressive Change, had not died completely as, Buhari, whom he said would have tough times  emerging as the APC candidate in 2019, in the aftermath of a plot spearheaded  by some leading members of the ruling party, would still bring up the CPC as things begins to unfold.

He said a northern agenda would spring up.   All of that has happened. Ayodele  also said Senate President Bukola Saraki would face challenges but warned that APC should not toy with the idea of removing him from office as doing so would cause problems for the ruling party and government.   With the withdrawal of forgery case against Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, it is not clear whether it has any connection with listening to the Warnings to the Nations by Ayodele or not.

On Edo 2016 governorship election, he warned  Governor Adams Oshiomhole to be prayerful so that Mr. Godwin Obaseki he was supporting would not give him problems after he would have become governor, but the Primate made it emphatically clear that Obaseki would win the poll. Not only that Godwin Obaseki has now won the Edo  governorship election but also, more importantly, Oshiomhole has consistently said that he did not clear whether Obaseki betrays him or not after he would have been sworn-in as new governor of the state as according to him what matters to him most is service delivery to the people of Edo.   All  of these are still said in certain quarters to be connected to the Ayodele’s prophecy.

On the forthcoming Ondo State governorship election, Ayodele  also warned Governor Olusegun Mimiko that he should not venture to move from Labour Party to the PDP as he said it would not work well for him.    So also did he warn Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State against   decamping from APGA. He stressed that the two governors  remaining in their respective parties would enable them sustain the love of their people and do a lot of good things for the respective states.    Against the warning, Mimiko went ahead and decamped to PDP and the house of progress of yesterday became a house of chaos  for the man once known to be the  Iroko  of  Ondo  politics.
