Gombe – Gov.Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa said in Gombe Sunday that Nigerians owed a lot to President Muhammadu Buhari for his swift action in addressing the security challenges posed by insurgents.

Bindow, who was in Gombe to felicitate with the people of the state on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the creation of the state, noted that the threat to lives and property had been substantially reduced.

“Our President deserves commendation for his military exploits in fighting the insurgents.

“Now, we can sleep both eyes closed and move around freely”, he said, while fielding questions from newsmen.
The Governor also commended Gov. Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe for taking the state to greater height within a short time of his stewardship.

“No doubt Dankwambo has achieved a lot; Gombe state has been transformed to a modern city within 20 years of its creation, “he said.

The governor said he joined the people of Gombe in celebrating the 20th anniversary of the creation of their state because they and people of Adamawa were one and inseparable.

“Although we now differ in our political persuasion, Gombe state being PDP and Adamawa APC, I can confidently say we are dialectically, economically and socially related ,” he said.
