A member of the Board of Trustees of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Chidi Okolo, has charged the party’s governors who brought Senator Ali Modu Sheriff to lead the party, to lead the peace offensive to settle the discord between him and the mainstream of the party.

Speaking with journalists in Abuja, Okolo said that the Port Harcourt, Rivers State, convention was bound to be a decisive gathering that would reshape and reset the direction of the party towards a better future.

Describing the ensuing crisis in the party as a family affair, Okolo said: “Those governors that initially reached out to Sheriff to lead the party should return to him and further persuade him towards the pathway of resolving the crisis.”
