ABUJA – THE Senate Wednesday continued with the screening of Ambassadorial nominees sent to it by President Muhammadu Buhari, with a total of 34 of the 47 screened so far.
The Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs with Senator Monsurat Summonu as Chairman commenced the screening exercise on Tuesday where 15 ambassadorial nominees appeared before the Committee and screened.
With the continuation of the programme yesterday, the Committee attended to 19 Ambassadorial nominees which brought the total to 34.
As the programme continued, Nominees who were in a waiting room close to the screening room, were engaged in tutorials, reciting the national anthem and the pledge, to avoid making mistakes as was in the case with some of the nominees who appeared before the Committee on Tuesday and could not recite the anthem and pledge properly.
