2019: Onuesoke faults Emerhor’s claim on APC taking over Delta

Onuesoke

Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has faulted   Delta State the 2015 All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate, Chief O’tega Emerhor’s claim that APC would take over the governorship seat of Delta State in 2019.

It would be recalled that Emerhor while addressing party faithful during the grand reception organized for Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has reiterated that its party would take over the state from the PDP which it had held  in the past seventeen years.

Describing Emerhor’s claim as joke of the century, Onuesoke argued that with the way and manner at which the state Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa is rapidly going about development in all ramification in the state APC’s dream of taking over Delta is a figment of their own imagination. Onuesoke who said since Okowa came into office, he had won over the souls of  people of Delta State including the opposition with his style of administration which had positively   affected the socio-economic development of the citizenry of Delta State.

He   posited   that   it would have been better for Emerhor and his APC travelers in the state to join forces with PDP in 2019 instead of dreaming of taking over.

“For instance, the administration in the state has  created   a total of 17,173   private sector jobs.   This figure consists of 6,800 direct jobs and 10,373 indirect jobs of both skilled and unskilled workers.   The same one year, the sum of N546m was disbursed to a total number of 3,110 within the various micro, small and medium enterprises. The achievements of Okowa have taking many youths out of the streets, made them self employed and employers of labour.
