NIGERIAN football recorded another plus yesterday when the League Management Company of Nigeria (LMC) and their Spanish counterparts La Liga signed a five year collaborative agreement.
Chairman of the LMC, Shehu Dikko signed on behalf of the Nigerian league while the LaLiga president, Javier Tebas signed on behalf of the Spanish league.
The agreement, according to Dikko, will benefit the two leagues especially in the areas of training, capacity development, commercial and marketing activities.
“We have a lot to learn from the La Liga and they too have much to learn from us at least from the mistakes we have made and how to avoid them as well as the positives we have equally achieved. We are signing a collaborative agreement with La Liga which, in the first instance, will last for five years which is quite a long time to examine how we are moving forward.
