In order to meet employment requirement of SME owners and entrepreneurs in the country, a human resources firm, JobRed and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of Nigeria have joined forces to train and groom Nigerian graduates on skills that will prepare them for the labour market.

Speaking with journalists in Lagos, Project Director, JobRed, Ajo Afolabi-Balogun said the partnership would strengthen the organisations to deliver support on CV writing, interview techniques and other essential skills that will position graduates for better employment.

Afolabi-Balogun pointed out that we all have a role to play in the society and each must do our part to support our graduates and make them more employable and at the same time develop the workforce we want to see in Nigeria”, she said.

At the conclusion of a three day summit held in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja, she expressed happiness that the organisation has designed an application, which would assist prospective workforce to improve skills that are needed for the job place.

According to Afolabi-Balogun, App is a tool that will help expose our graduates learn more about career tips, labour market, global competitiveness and crucial employability skills. “The application is loaded with relevant information that keeps graduates abreast with globally acceptable employability standard.”
