IG tasks A-Ibom command on effective investigation

Uyo—The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, has tasked Police officers in Akwa Ibom State to always carry out effective and appropriate investigations before making arrests to avoid any chaos between them and the public.

He also called on the state  Police Command to redouble efforts in combating the emerging trend of kidnapping in some parts of the state especially in Ikot-Abasi Local Government Area of the state.

To boost the morale of the officers and men of the command, the IG, who was on working tour of Akwa Ibom State Police Command assured that if the gangs of criminals were dismantled by the Special Anti-Crime Squad, all of them would be promoted and specially decorated by the IG.

Meanwhile, Arase instantly promoted 13 police officers of the command to their next ranks for meritorious and courageous services to the police force and urged others to emulate them so as to also merit promotion.
