The University of Benin Alumni Association, UBAA, Lagos branch, will host the 86th National Council meeting of the association (worldwide) and awards ceremony between March 18 and 20, to be graced by all national officers and branch chairmen worldwide, led by the President worldwide, Sir Ifaluyi Isibor.

Also expected to attend are the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Faraday Orumwese and his management team.

As part of the activities for the event, courtesy visits are planned to the Secretary of the Lagos State Council of Obas, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabiru Gbeto (Ilufemiloye) Adeola III, the Osolo of Isolo Kingdom and Head of Okota Royal Family as well as Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State on March 18, 2016.

The Council session proper will hold at Convergence Hotel, Acme Road, Ikeja, Lagos on March 19, 2016 during which all items on the agenda will be thoroughly discussed and a communiqué issued.

This will be followed with a dinner and awards ceremony at the Sheraton Lagos Hotels and Tower, Ikeja under the chairmanship of Chief Charles Edosomwan, SAN, the Obasuyi of Benin Kingdom, a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Edo State and the first SAN from the University of Benin.
