Barely 24 hours after the kidnapping of three female students of Babington Macaulay Junior Academy, Ikorodu, parents and teachers have intensified prayers for the release of the kidnapped students.
However, academic activities were still grounded in the school.
As at 10am, the parents and teachers were seen offering prayers at the school chapel.
An unconfirmed source said one of the kidnapped students Olusa Timilehin was the daughter to one of the directors of Lagos State Anglican School Management Board.
As at Wednesday, there was apprehension on the faces of some of the parents and teachers who were anxious about the whereabout of the kidnapped students.
Also, the students were kept indoor as the state Commissioner of Police Fatai Owoseni and his team held an indoor meeting with the school.
It was reliably gathered that the local vigilante group called “Onyabo” was invited to assist the Police in the search for the girls.
Some parents who spoke on condition of anonymity blamed the management of the school for lack of adequate security.
They said on various occasions, the school management were advised to raise the school fence at the School of Science and Technology section but this was ignored for reasons best known to them.
