Obasa
The lawmaker representing Ojo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Obasa has lauded the judgement of the Supreme Court which affirmed the elections of the Governor of Akwa-Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel and his counterpart in Abia State, Dr Victor Ikpeazu as Governors in their respective states.
Obasa, a member of the peoples democratic party (PDP) appreciated the eminent jurists of the Supreme Court for restoring the sanctity and integrity of the judiciary as the last hope of the common man.
“The last general elections was held in a peaceful atmosphere, political parties that participated in the polls have their strongholds. While, All Progressive Congress (APC) dominated the Northern part of Nigeria, the Southsouth and Southeast geopolitical zones voted massively for the largest party in Africa, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“While heading to the tribunal after elections is good to strengthen democracy and find a panacea to the flaws in the electoral process. However, facts must not be substituted for fabrication”
” Judging with facts by the eminent jurists is a clear indication that the last election conducted by Goodluck Jonathan remains the best with international practices”
In a congratulatory message signed by his media aide, Mr Opeyemi Ahmed, the lawmaker extended his heartfelt appreciation to the good people of both states for their unwavering support throughout the period of tribunal.
The lawmaker further advised the governors to continue with their people oriented projects which have endeared them to the people.
