Father of the teenager allegedly kidnapped from Bayelsa to Kano, Charles Oruru, has said that he is saddened by the abduction of his daughter, Ese.
According to him, the only thing that will bring joy to his family is the return of Ese to his home in Bayelsa.
Oruru also commended the media and civil society for bringing his predicament to public domain.
His words : ” Without the support of the media and civil society groups there is nothing I could have done. Left to the police, the matter would have died a natural death. The plight of my family and child would have been unknown and she would have been lost in Kano. We are praying for the return of my daughter so that we can all celebrate.

“If they bring my daughter back successfully I will be very happy. As the father, I am like a fish out of water. I have not been myself since she was forcibly taken away.
“When ever I think of her I shed tears. She is only minor she was taken away when she was 13 year old but as I speak with you she is now 14 year. I don’t have many children and the few I have I make sure I take good care of them because I know they will be great in future if they are given good education.”
