OLEH—MINORITY Leader of the House of Representatives, Mr Leo Ogor, has donated a 150 bed sitter dormitory to the Human Welfare for Empowerment and Development Initiative, HWEDI, an orphanage in Irri community, Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State.
Commissioning the multi- million naira building furnished with double beds and various facilities, immediate past Secretary to the Delta State Government, Ovuozourie Macaulay, commended Ogor for his philanthropic gesture to the orphans.
He said: ‘’I have involved myself in giving alms to the orphans for many years but the dream to build an orphanage dormitory as this one has not been met due to series of events while in government. But with the help of my friend and brother it has come to pass.”
Earlier in his remarks, Mr Ogor, who is the member representing Isoko federal constituency in the House of Representatives expressed optimism that the dormitory would assist the orphans to restore the hope they had lost.
