ASABA—Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has commiserated with Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, on the demise of his mother, Late Mrs Alice Emefiele, who died on Christmas Day, aged 94.

Okowa in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Charles Aniagwu, described Mrs. Emefiel’s death as a great loss, not only to the Emefiele family but also to the entire state and nation in general,  given her invaluable contributions to the cause of humanity.

He said that the late Mrs Emefiele was a great matriarch, whose support for her children led to Godwin Emefiele’s emergence as Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc and later Governor of the CBN.
