Imo govt appeals to citizens to industrialize state

OWERRI—Imo State Government has passionately appealed to wealthy indigenes of the state to come home and assist in industrializing and providing job opportunities for the teeming jobless youths.

Governor Rochas Okorocha made the call while performing the commissioning ceremony of a borehole and an ultra modern bus stop built by an industrialist, Mr. Festus Mbisiogu, at Amawuihe, Ubomiri, Mbaitoli local council area of the state.

The Governor, who was represented at the event by his Senior Special Assistant, SSA, on Assets and Liabilities, Mr. Ethelbert Ibebuchi, expressed happiness that apart from making solid investments and absorbing some unemployed citizens, this was the 19th borehole sunk and commissioned by Mbisiogu in differents parts of the state.

“Government is happy that Mr. Mbisiogu positively responded to our clarion call on wealthy individuals to come and invest. His solid investments has helped in reducing the unemployment rate in the state.”
