For Port Harcourt sides, Sharks ad Dolphins, it has been a very tough battle to stay afloat in the nervy 2010-2016 Premier League season. Since the start of the campaign on March 8, both teams from Rivers State have been pegged in the relegation zone, with the increasing likelihood that one of them will eventually get relegated to the Nationwide League.

This weekend, both sides are in action, with faint hopes of earning the points that will give them a push out of the drop zone.  Both are separated by a point, with Sharks leading with 21 and with a home fixture against Rangers to come this weekend, fans believe that Sharks will bite the visiting Flying Antelopes and keep hopes alive. On the other side of the city, Dolphins will attempt to navigate their way past Abia Warrior
