BENIN CITY—Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has bagged an Award as the best governor of Edo State since its creation in 1991 by Edo State Indigenes in Europe and the United Kingdom.
The state deputy governor, Dr Pius Odubu, the Commissioner for Establishment and Special Duties, Didi Adodo and Commissioner for Higher Education, Washington Osifo, also bagged awards as the best Deputy Governor of the state since its creation and best commissioners respectively.
The group also announced their endorsement of Dr Odubu as their preferred candidate for the 2016 governorship election in the state, noting that the state has experienced accelerated development since the coming of Oshomhole.
This was contained in a statement by Mr Francis Okoemu, after the award ceremony which took place in Germany last weekend.
