OPC dismisses two of its members

The leadership of the Odua People’s Congress, OPC, a non-governmental group, has withdrew the membership of its two members, Messrs Rasaq Arogundade and Amsat Musiliu for allegedly involved in activities considered by the group as obnoxious and contrary to its sacred tenets.

The group which issued a dismissal statement to the press through its Lagos State Coordinator, Alhaji Mutair Adeshina disclosed that the duo have persistently been involved in activities considered contrary to the tenets of the Congress which is considered as anti-congress.

According to the statement, “Despite several warnings and attempts by the elders of the congress to ensure that this duo toe the line of responsibility as members of the Congress, they continued to behave in a manner that is capable of bringing the esteem name of the congress into disrepute.

“Therefore, in a meeting of the State Coordinating Council (SCC), during which this matter came up for discussion, it was unanimously agreed that the two should be restrain from all activities of the congress.

“By this decision therefore both, Messrs Rasaq Arogundade, Sadam, Amsat Musiliu, Biggy, henceforth ceased to be members of the Oodua People’s Congress, OPC and all privileges hitherto accorded them as members of the Congress summarily withdrawn”, he noted.
