…Garba Shehu appointed spokesman

General Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate has named former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu into his Presidential Campaign Council, the body to drive his campaign.

Reflective of Atiku’s pledge to integrate his campaign into that of the party’s presidential campaign, veteran journalist and spokesman of Atiku, Garba Shehu has been named as the spokesman of the Buhari Campaign Organisation.

Atiku is to serve as vice-chairman (north) of the PCC, while Tinubu is to serve as vice-chairman of the PCC (south), which has Buhari himself as chairman and his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo as alternate chairman.

Former governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi is to serve as the head of the Policy, Research and Strategy directorate of the campaign, while former chief of army staff, Gen. Abdulrahman Danbazau was appointed as the head of the security directorate.

Gen. Buhari also named four women, including member of the House of Representatives, Abike Dabiri-Erewa and former member of the House, Ms Temi Harriman as members of the PCC.
