Federal Radion Corporation, FRCN, erupted into celebration yesterday when they un-expectedly gained a 1-1 draw with rave of the moment, Vanguard’s Kirikiri Warriors in the opening day of the NUJ Media Games.

The Warriors who are at the vanguard of the Games sulked over the draw while their opponents jubilated at the end of the match at the Legacy pitch of the National Stadium, Surulere.

‘’We consider the draw as a loss to us and will not pay their bonus to drive our disappointment home’’, a disappointed Chairman of Vanguard’s NUJ chapel, Innocent Anaba screamed.

‘’I am not happy that we could not get FRCN out of the way despite controlling the game and having more chances at goal.”

But, we urge the referees to know the rule of a 5-Side game’’, Anaba notorious for his outbursts said.

Emma Ebrugbe put the match beyond FRCN with a marvellous shot that should contest for the goal of the tournament. Sunday Joseph, Martin Obigho, Raymond Palo, Ovie Yesan, Onyebuchi Albert, Sunday Win were outstanding.

Vanguard’s Kirikiri Warriors would take Thisday for breakfast today when they line out for their second game. A win against the Nduka Obaigbena side would see Vanguard romp into the second round.
