Former Special Adviser on Political Matters to President Goodluck Jonathan, Alhaji Ahmed Gulak, has denied insinuations that he has defected to All Progressives Party, APC, to get the governorship ticket.
Alhaji Gulak, who left the Presidency in May, said he had no intention of dumping the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from where he plans to join the fray for the governorship race.
In a tweet to Vanguard yesterday, Gulak said: “I can never defect to APC. You know that they are desperate for me to come over, but I can never join them.”
The former presidential aide, who was very critical of the defections that hit the ruling PDP from late 2013 to early part of this year, said: “I will stay in PDP and slug it out when the time comes for the governorship ticket of Adamawa State.”
