Borno Express Central Motor Park, located beside the State Security Service, SSS, office, along Kano- Jos Road, Maiduguri, Borno State capital, yesterday, became a battle ground when SSS officials engaged some suspected terrorists in a gun duel leading to the killing of a grasshopper seller and one security official.
An unconfirmed report revealed that some of the suspects were arrested.
Similarly, two persons suspected to be terrorists were arrested in their abandoned building hideout in Bulunbutu- Abuja area of the Borno State capital leading to the JTF operatives condoning off all routes linking the area.
The operation led to the killing of a civilian who was shot. Two AK47 rifles were found in the possession of the arrested suspects, according to a reliable source.
Efforts to get the JTF spokesman, Lt. Col. Sagir Musa, to comment on the incidents proved abortive as he could not be reached on phone.
