Akpala
Joseph Akpala is hoping that his summer move to German club Werder Bremen will speed up his return to the Eagles.
Akpala last played for the Eagles in 2010. But despite his 19 goals tally from 30 games in the last season for Club Brugge of Belgium, he failed to get the attention of Eagles’ coach Stephen Keshi.
“I hope to return to the Eagles. But it all depends on the coaches who will do the selection, if they they don’t look at me direction it will continue to do what I love to do and that is to play football,” said Akpala.
He submitted that signing a four year deal with Bremen was a huge step in his career.
“For me it’s a big step in my career,” Akpala told Bundesliga.de. “It’s a huge privilege to be able to play for Werder Bremen.
“This club belongs amongst the top teams in Germany. I want to build on the great Bremen times of the past and make a positive impact on the team.”
