OWERRI- leadership of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in Imo State is counting its losses over the decision to work for All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, during the last supplementary gubernatorial election in the state.
The party’s chieftains, who met in the Amaifeke, Orlu country home of former governor of Imo State, Chief Achike Udenwa, were also irked that Governor Rochas Okorocha failed to respect the gentleman’s agreement he entered into with ACN.
Bemoaning the breach of the agreement, Udenwa recounted that the party loyalists had a 30-70 understanding with Chief Rochas Okorocha and his APGA, just two days to the supplementary election.
While recalling with grief that the agreement was not signed by the parties before the election, Udenwa however explained that because of their firm belief in the agreement, they went ahead and delivered Mbaitoli, Ngor Okpala, Ohaji/Egbema and Owerri West local council areas to APGA.
