Vanguard’s Entertainment Editor Mr. Ogbonna Amadi has won the highly esteemed Society, Entertainment and Style media awards for the Entertainment Editor of the year while the paper’s entertainment page took the entertainment page of the year.

In the broadcast category, Victoria Pepple of STV won TV female presenter of the year while the best AM programme on TV went to Kaakaki- the African voice on AIT. Other winners were: STV for Best entertainment television, Multichoice- best pay television, Sound City-Best musical channel and AIT best music station on sports.

The awards night was a congregation of titans and had attracted notable names in the entertainment and broadcast industry.

Mr Amadi, a veteran journalist spanning decades had received his award to the roar of applause and in brief words dedicated it to God and the solid entertainment team at Vanguard newspapers.

The ceremony was anchored by artiste Alariwo of Africa and AY the comedian had doled out jokes to the happy roar of the audience.

Singer Kelly Handsome, Black solo, Frank Dinero, Singerholic and Xcape had also all performed on the night.
