Dariye makes Senate by 189,024 votes

Jos, –  Former Gov. Joshua Dariye of the LP, won the Plateau Central Senatorial contest with 189,014 votes against 160,106 votes scored by PDP candidate, Dauda Gowon.

Mr Victor Lar, a member of the House of Representatives between 1999-2007, has defeated two retired army generals to clinch the Plateau South Senatorial District.

Lar, who contested on the platform of the PDP, scored 132,768 votes to defeat former FCT Minister Jerry Useni of the DPP, who got 97,846 votes, while incumbent Sen. John Shagaya of the LP, secured 72,534 votes.

The incumbent Sen. Gyang Dantong (PDP), who represents Plateau North, won his re-election bid with 360,194 votes to beat Bala Bako of the APGA, who scored 164,881 votes. (NAN)
