Jonathan woos labour

President Good-luck Jonathan, yesterday, commenced strategic moves to get the backing of organised labour for his presidential bid as the race for the nation’s number one job became more intense less than 12 days to the Presidential election.

The President met with the Nigerian teachers, under the umbrella of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, yesterday, led by its President, Comrade Michael Alogba, and got the endorsement of the teachers

Today, the President is meeting with leaders of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and their Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, counterpart.

Vanguard gathered that President Jonathan would also meet with the oil workers, under the aegis of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG.
