Jonathan presents change

Dear Sir,
THE candidature of President Goodluck Jonathan represents a new dawn in the social, economic and political history of Nigeria since independence. In a country fraught with political thuggery and intolerance since independence, the entrance of the Dr. Jonathan into Nigeria’s troubled political mainstream has greatly minimised political, religious and economic tension considering his patient and intelligent maneuvers.

Nigerians are enjoined to embrace the wind of change sweeping across the globe and usher in a transparent government which Jonathan presents. There is no better opportunity to embrace a government that has promised:-
To fight corruption and corrupt practices in every aspect of governance;

To institute true political and electoral reforms;
Transparency in every aspect of governance;
True implementation of the principles of Federal character in employment and appointments;
Security of persons and property;

Never to do business as usual;
To promote merit and put the right people in the right places.
The momentum is now!

Those who are still skeptical of President Jonathan belong to the dark days of Nigeria’s history.

There is no doubt that Mr. President shall face stiff oppositions, obstacles and challenges in the struggle to build a new Nigeria particu-larly from those who think they were born to rule and who created and  want to perpetuate political dynasties, but victory is assured. He shall continue to” walk the walk and talk the talk” as he journeys the nooks and crannies of the nation with the message of  hope.

President Jonathan knows how to outline his vision and does not condescend to the arena of ethnic and identity politics. He knows when to capture the stage to draw national and global sentiments to the course of nation building as he travels around the nation campaigning.

With his divine emergence, the message of change is being sent to the hitherto disappointed egg-heads among us who were rejected and marginalised from the scheme of things simply because they come from implied wrong side of the political geography.

This is a moment every Nigerian must seize to institute lasting change. For so long, we have sacrificed   merit at the altar of mediocrity and ethnic politics. It is time for drastic change!

The President needs the support and encouragement of every Nigerian (home and abroad) now the ship of the state is on course. I salute the courage and determination of our President to engage in the daily campaign with a vision to win. President Jonathan shall win not on the basis of luck, but on clear vision and manifesto of the party; which is a very objective vision  which will bring the nation to economis freedom; hard work and unparallel wisdom.

Now that Nigeria has found itself at a cross road, the electorate’s  wise choice and support would make the Nigeria of tomorrow for our children and generations yet unborn. So let’s be wise!
