Adepoju sets sight on three points

By Kate Obodo
SHOOTING Stars Sports Club Managing Director,  Mutiu Adepoju is not blowing his trumpet just yet, despite his team’s brilliant result in the league, but was quick to add that only hard work will help them maintain their position.

In a chat with Sat League, the former Super Eagles player said though the league just resumed, he is optimistic they will maintain their position.

“It is not something one is over joyed about yet considering that the league is just starting. It all boils down to good preparation and hard work, but in all, it shows that we are doing pretty well to have come to this stage.

“It is not over yet, we intend to do our best to maintain our position and we hope that things continue to work out the way we want it. It is too early to count our chicks though, we have  played only three matches, we still have a lot of matches to play. We have not forgetting the fact there are strong teams like Enyimba, Pillars and others that we have to confront. Nevertheless, we will do our best.

“Against Kano Pillars, we have prepared so hard for the match, and we are hoping for the best. We tend to take every match as they come and also blend the team with old and new players. No doubt we still have a lot to do in the team,” he said
