Ajumogobia’s house on fire

The official residence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Odein Ajumogobia went up in flames last night and within minutes, the one storey building in the exclusive Maitama area of the FCT was  completely  burnt down.

Time was about 8.45 p.m.

The minister was at home when the fire broke out, a short distance from the Maitama Police station.

No fewer than eight fire fighting vehicles and dozens of firemen were deployed to the scene. They were unable to save the situation as personal effects got burnt.

No life was lost.

Sympathisers were trooping to the place as news of the incident reached them.

Among the early callers were top government officials and PDP chieftains.
