…resigns as SSA to Oni

ADO-EKITI—The former Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr. Olusola Omolayo, has dumped the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and defected  to the opposition Action Congress, AC, saying his future and that of his supporters cannot be guaranteed by the PDP.

With his defection to the AC, the former member of the State House of Assembly, has resigned his appointment  as the Senior Special Assistant, SSA, to the Governor, Engr Segun Oni on Rural Development.

But the state government has through  the state owned radio and television stations announced the termination of the appointment of Omolayo as SSA on Rural  Development

The former lawmaker who served as the Speaker of the House shortly after the interim  Governor  of Mr Tope Ademiluyi in the state, described the ruling PDP in the state as an embodiment of a  party of injustice.

Omolayo who hails from Odo Ayedun Ekiti described the AC as a party that has the interest of the masses at heart and believes in justice and the rule of law, saying the future of the people of the state can only be guaranteed by the AC.
